BluegrassBAMR is a married to a runner and all around amazing athlete. She is the mother to 2 (hockey) boys, ages 8 & 10 and a proud aunt. “Ella” and “Bocephus” are her two boxers, who also like to run with her as much as possible.
A self-proclaimed birth junkie and champion for the midwifery model of care, BluegrassBAMR is passionate about women’s health. By day, she works as a multimedia consultant for the oldest nurse-midwifery program in the nation, but by afternoon, she is a full-time BAMR. (Don’t get her wrong, she loves spending time with her family, but let’s be honest, there is nothing like an 8 mile run that gives a mother runner a feeling of freedom–and some much needed peace and quiet!)
BluegrassBAMR is a marathoner training for her first sprint triathlon. She served as a 2017 #KDFMarathon Ambassador and is currently a chapter leader for the MomsRunThisTown/SheRunsThisTown chapter in Louisville, Kentucky. She is also a devoted runner to her IRun4 Running Buddy, Jessica! She is also a Retts Racer, raising awareness to find a cure for Retts Syndrome.
